Welcome to New Zealand Bagpipes. From Southland, serving New Zealand. The rebrand is a work in progress so please bear with me. Email me Tourpiper@gmail.com with any queries or use the chat function. I am in the midst of a decent restock!

Moisture Control

Most bagpipe set ups will require some form of moisture control to avoid the reeds becoming saturated, and thus unstable too quickly.  A good moisture control element will allow the piper to play for longer and also retain the stability of the drones and chanter reed throughout.
Of course each piper varies in terms of how wet we blow so we should take care not to go stuffing our bags full of contraptions for the sake of it.  Also whether the player is playing in a band or in solo competition will affect our decision here as well.
For example a player using a well dressed Gannaway Bag may find that they need nothing else, but a wetter blower may wish to add an additional Tube Water Trap, or even the Ross Canister System.
I recommend any of these products but please feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss further.
