About Us

My name is Davey and I am now based in Invercargill, New Zealand and have been playing bagpipes for over 30 years. I have played at the highest level winning 4 World Championships, two with the legendary Shotts and Dykehead, and notably winning the New Zealand the Gold Medal for Piobaireachd in 2011. 

I am currently a member of the Grade 1 ILT City of Invercargill, was a past member of the famous Simon Fraser University Pipe Band out of Burnaby, British Columbia as well as being a Life Member of the Wellington Red Hackle Pipe Band, bringing them through the grades from 4B to Grade 2. 

I was formerly Wellington Bagpipe Supply, formed after the creation of www.tourpiper.com, my Professional Bagpiping business for Tutoring, Weddings, Funerals and more. I operate a simple yet professional business from my new home in Invercargill and love to discuss the variety of needs that the modern piper requires.
