About Us

My name is Davey and I am based in Wellington, New Zealand and have been playing bagpipes for over 30 years. I have played at the highest level winning 4 World Championships, two with the legendary Shotts and Dykehead and notably winning the New Zealand the Gold Medal for Piobaireachd in 2011. 

I am currently a member of the famous Simon Fraser University Pipe Band out of Burnaby, British Columbia and I run the Wellington Red Hackle Pipe Band which feature in Grade 2 and 4 here in New Zealand.

Wellington Bagpipe Supply was formed after the creation of www.tourpiper.com, my Professional Bagpiping business for Tutoring, Weddings, Funerals and more. I operate a simple yet professional business from my home in Wellington and love to discuss the variety of needs that the modern piper requires.
